While Zellige was historically crafted to adorn the intricate walls and fountains of classical Moroccan architecture, Bejmat was the material designed to ground it. Originating from the same ancient kilns in Fez, these slender clay bricks were traditionally utilized to pave the sun-drenched courtyards and shaded pathways of riads. Today, our glazed Bejmat collection translates this robust, historical character into a striking, highly tactile material specifically specified for vertical architectural applications.

Measuring 150x50mm, our collection honours an unbroken artisanal legacy. Each tile is a testament to the human hand: raw, regional clay is kneaded, moulded, and chiseled individually, before being baked under the sun and fired in traditional olive-pit kilns. This elemental, unpredictable process guarantees that no two bricks are identical. It is their very irregularity—the surface pitting, the undulating edges, and the complex variations in the soft glaze—that gives a Bejmat wall its soulful, tactile honesty.
