The Scarpa Grande represents a bold, architectural evolution of our classic mosaic. While it remains deeply anchored in the rhythmic, interlocking geometry of Carlo Scarpa’s 1957 Negozio Olivetti floor, this iteration amplifies that historic vision by two-and-a-half times its original scale.

By scaling up the tesserae into substantial, sweeping pieces of premium natural stone, the Grande format shifts the aesthetic from an intricate mosaic into a monumental architectural surface. The design is defined by its striking 20mm grout channels. At this magnified scale, the negative space becomes an incredibly powerful graphic element, framing the natural figuring of the stone and establishing a commanding visual rhythm across the floor or wall.

Like the Original Wide format, the Grande can be installed to reflect your specific architectural intent. It can be traditionally grouted to celebrate the tactile, artisan-cut edges of the large stone pieces, or it can be overfilled and machine-honed in situ to create a breathtaking, monolithic terrazzo-style finish.
