Where the wide configuration celebrates negative space and utilizes the grout channel as a prominent graphic frame, this adaptation tightens the grid, shifting the visual focus entirely onto the materiality of the stone itself.

By bringing the interlocking tesserae closer together with a standard grout width, the individual artisan-chipped pieces merge to form a continuous, richly textured architectural landscape. The effect evokes the ancient, cobbled laneways of Italy—creating a deeply tactile surface that feels both historically authentic and beautifully suited to contemporary design.
